Do you have any other accounts we can follow you on or youd rather abandon this account and start anew privately?

authenticity on social media is impossible to achieve But does it need to be achieved? are our 'Truest Selves' not best kept for ourselves and those closest to us instead of broadcast to an audience of hundreds thousands millions? is a reconciliation with social media as a part of our daily lives possible or is it best to abandon it completely? etc
this pride month I am wishing everyone a very stop overanalyzing yourself and just have fun with it. have gay sex. don't have any sex. try on a new gender. stop caring about gender at all. talk to your doctor about hormones. go on a date. break up with the person you dont love. whatever it is you have been putting off doing by dithering about it in your head. just do that and fully experience how it feels without trying to put it into words. if you still need a word for it later there will be one. they aren't going anywhere. but people were here before language and there's only so far language can go in giving you a fulfilling human experience. so if you are hiding behind finding the right words for whatever it is your heart wants i hope this month you get the courage to just do it instead.
I want people to stop attacking nonbinary people who describe their genders in abstract, flowery terms. And I want them to stop dismissing them as “just teenagers who don’t know any better”, too.
You know why? Because cis people do the same thing all the time and nobody bats an eye about it.
Manhood and womanhood are associated with symbols, colors, animals, astronomical objects, mythological figures, a whole list of things that have no inherent gendered properties, and that’s fine. (A lot of those symbols are stereotypical, but some binary people still embrace them, while others have come up with alternate symbols that better reflect what being a man or woman means to them.)
If men and women can describe their genders in abstract, symbolic, poetic terms, so can nonbinary people.
some of y’all need to learn more compassion for adults who are severely mentally ill or disabled… like schizophrenics who still depend on their family members and probably always will have to, autistic people who live in group homes, people with bipolar disorder who attend partial inpatient programs, etc…. people who couldn’t get college degrees, who can’t work. not everyone is like you.
the "trust me bro this is good bigotry bro I swear bro this time it's different and justified bro" tweet is one of my favorite images. I think about it every time I see someone make an argument that looks like they just control + f + replaced an older bigoted rant with a new vocab word. it's perfect.
my favorite genre of High Internet Intellectualism is when someone complains in broad strokes about media and accidentally reveals they've only been consuming content made for teenagers
"why are there no stories about adults? why are all the main characters teenage boys?" my good man you are the one reading the shounen
It's really fucking weird that people seem to think you only do or think about the things you post about on social media. I have so much more going on my life than I ever post about here, and so do most people.
Chances are high that you know almost nothing about any given blogger on this website, and making wild assumptions about their personal lives based on what they do post about is both weird and invasive.
Many lgbt teenagers and young adults growing up on the internet today have socially conservative beliefs that they voice at all times that they got from their conservative parents which they’ve never challenged because they think the life experience of being gay or trans makes them politically progressive
This is why I hate it when people say something homophobic and then go “so you’re really accusing me, a whole ass lesbian, of being homophobic 🙄” like yeah
Just because you’re part of an oppressed party does not mean you cannot hold bias against other groups or members of your own group. Bias is learned and ingrained through society and family and it takes real work to unlearn it. No one is perfect, no one is without bias and you are in fact going to fuck up now and again—what matters is if you learn from it and grow.
this is what people are talking about when they say "do the work"
*taps the glass* hey, y'all know that what you might want isn't necessarily what's best to legislate?
Explanation:
- You cannot be judge, jury and executioner because the division of powers was created for a reason; to remain impartial and try to keep corruption to a minimum.
- Every single living person has human rights. Including the most evil people you could ever meet. Those people have a right to live, to get healthcare, to eat and to have a job. YES, even evil people.
I've seen a lot of people talk about abolishing prison, because it's the cool, new hip thing that everyone is talking about. And instead of understand what it means, they think it's the liberation of wrongfully imprisoned minorities - which it is. But also:
Prison abolition means setting up a system of psychological and physical help for the people whom are deemed dangerous to society. Yes, that includes Evil Fucking People. Recovery and rehabilitation should be the goal, not incarceration. THAT is abolishing prison.
Of course I want that abusive piece of shit father who abused his children to die. I want him dead! DEAD. But it does not mean that that's what I want as an official law, because as much as I'd love to see him dead, the betterment of society and the rehabilitation and development of a human fucking being is important.
The benefits to prison abolition are ENDLESS. But it is also a struggle, and y'all can't keep going through life with a 5 year old's justice mentality. I swear, fandom has rotted your fucking brains off, because we NEED ACTIVISTS. We NEED TO KNOW WHY WE WANT WHAT WE WANT, AND WHAT IT ENTAILS.
You believe in something? Look up the activists who are doing work there. Read up on it. Look up videos. Follow them on their social media. Work in your communities, if you've the opportunity.
And stop being so fucking stupid about abolishing human rights. You're doing the work for the far right when you call on all pedophiles to be executed on sight. Not even twenty years ago, gay people were mostly thought of as PEDOPHILES.
You see how this shit goes? Yeah?
Then figure yourself the fuck out.
“I really want that fucker to suffer, but I don’t want a society run by my worst impulses” is a really important moral principle that more people need to learn.
A similar
guide geared towards trans women/ transfeminine people (though not really sexual orientation specific) is “BRAZEN: Trans Women’s Safer Sex Guide.”
Here’s a working link for BRAZEN /(2.0)
btw, the realization that you can just not say shit about topics you’re not qualified to talk about is both very liberating and one I think alot of you need to make.
like fr, being online doesn’t mean you’re obligated to comment on every little thing, you can just shut the fuck up if you don’t know what you’re talking about

In response to this event, some redditors created r/charityraid, with the goal of concentrating the power of thousands of users into a single charity at a time to hopefully break a few more sites.
As of 9/21/21, the site has updated with more wishes. The incredible spike in donations is amazing, but if you want to and are able to keep the momentum going, there are over 300 waiting to be filled at https://www.onesimplewish.org!
